Familienhotel Die Seitenalm is located on a scenic plateau at 1,150 metres above sea level high above Radstadt, in the heart of the Ski amadé sports region. It offers a spa area and a 40,000 m² outdoor area with many leisure options, including a petting zoo, football, archery, fishing, and pony riding.
Families benefit from professional child and baby care on request, a children’s ski zone, and a children’s ski school next to the hotel. The spa area features an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor saunas, a hot tub, a separate spa area for children, a children's pool with a water slide, and many other features. Swimming courses for children are available as well. Massages and beauty treatments can also be booked.
Opened in 2015, the Familien-Erlebnis-Welt (family experience world) covers 28 attractions on 550 m², including a tree house with a climbing wall, an indoor bobby-car track, an 8-metre climbable tree with a spiral slide and a viewing platform, a baby play area, and modern child care rooms.
All rooms, suites and apartments are furnished in a traditional country-house style and have a balcony, bathrobes, a towel dryer, and various facilities for children.
Full-board includes a rich breakfast buffet, a warm lunch snack, an afternoon cake and snack buffet, and a 5-course dinner with a choice of dishes and a salad buffet (for children, a 3-course meal or a separate children’s buffet are offered).
Non-alcoholic drinks for the whole family are included throughout the day. Various coffee specialities by Julius Meinl and organic teas by Sonnentor are provided the whole day. The Seitenalm has its own water source and offers fresh and healthy mountain water.
Every Sunday from 18:00, the host family invites the entire family for a welcome cocktail, both in summer and winter.
In winter, a ski bus connects Familienhotel Die Seitenalm to the child-friendly Fageralm Ski Area, which is 3 km away.
