Jump in the car and travel less than an hour to find the cathedral city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum. Visit the Lake District, or Europe’s largest indoor shopping complex, the Metro Centre.
There are many challenging country golf courses, along with the excellent country course at Barnard Castle. There is horse racing at Redcar, Sedgefield, Thirsk, Catterick, York and Newcastle. You may, however, be content exploring the beautiful scenic countryside that surrounds The Jersey Farm Country Hotel. After a warm welcome you can explore the curious decor and original art.
