Located in a late 19th-century jail, this unique guesthouse offers restored, Victorian-style rooms with high ceilings and polished, wooden floors. Guests can walk out to the sun terrace and landscaped gardens featuring sun-loungers.
All air-conditioned rooms at The Old Jail are individually decorated with antique furniture and original artworks. Private bathrooms include brass fittings and some have a claw foot bath. The family units are located at the Old Stables, close to the parking area.
A free breakfast is served daily in the communal dining room or main courtyard. Willowmore’s centre is a 1 km walk and provides several cafés.
Surrounded by the Baviaanskloof and Swartberg Mountains, The Old Jail is perfect for hiking and cycling tours. An on-site art gallery has an impressive collection of historic and contemporary paintings, sculptures and antique furniture.
Timbila and Bhejane Game Reserve with many bird species is 50 km away by car. Karoo National Park is a 3.5-hour drive away.
