There are a number of monuments that have been preserved, such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Public Theatre Ivan Vazov, the Palace of Justice and the churches St.George and St.Sofia. In Sofia there is the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Public Library, as well as theatres and museums.
The city has several beautiful parks and has views of the Vitosha mountains. The hostel includes a number of communal areas, including the tea room, garden and chill-out area that you free to use these rooms throughout the day.
