According to chroniclers such as Felipe Huamán Poma de Ayala on the "First Ages or Four Generations of Men" prior to the conquest, it offers the most valuable picture of traditional wisdom, it says that the four generations that populated the Andes are:
The Pacarimoc Runa or people of the dawn of humanity.
The Purun Runa, ´´Savage Men´´.
The Wari Runa or Farmers, shepherds, potters, weavers, goldsmiths and architects.
The Auca Runa or warriors, conquerors and politicians.
The pre-historical and archaeological investigations carried out in the last decades show that indeed, the reordered account of Huamán Poma is in harmony with the recent events discovered. The oldest men or Pacarimoc Runa lived in caves, an example in the Lauricocha caves demonstrated by Augusto Cárdich and Jorge Muelle in Toquepala, Richard Mc Neish in Ayacucho and Ramiro Matos Mendieta in Junín.
The Purun rune or second generation traveled the entire territory, made an inventory of its characteristics and natural resources and, according to them, named the places with which they highlighted the most outstanding of each place in order of human needs. As they walked they opened the roads; They discovered all the abras to go from east to west and vice versa, or from south to north and vice versa. To travel, they used the summits of the Andean chains, especially those of the transverse chains that separate the various basins. As a result of this, even today the traces of chaquinanis or "foot paths" appear conspicuous, revealing the intense traffic that through them It has been made.
Later, the Inca Túpac Yupanqui, wanting to expand the Inca empire, subdues the peoples of this region, according to Garcilazo, around 1475, receiving Inca influence until the arrival of the Spanish conquerors in Peru.
