Hananobo
Located in the Shima hot-spring area, Hananobo offers Japanese-style accommodations and traditional multi-course meals. Indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths are on-site and massages can be requested for an extra cost. Guests can take a 40-minute public bus ride from JR Nakanojo Train Station to Shima Onsen Bus Stop, which is a 15-minute walk away.
The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a TV, an electric kettle and a fridge. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests and the en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer.
A hot-spring bath can be reserved for private-use and some hot-spring baths have tatami floors. You can sing your favorite tunes at the karaoke room and enjoy views of the traditional garden. Luggage storage is available at the 24-hour front desk.
A traditional multi-course meal is served for dinner and a Japanese set-menu for breakfast. Meals are served at the guests’ rooms or the shared dining room.
Hananobo Ryokan is a 30-minute drive from Lake Okushima and Yakuou-en Garden.
