Open all year round, the Hotel Auberge de la Sauge offers cosy rooms and a restaurant only 50 metres from the ASPO Nature Centre in Cudrefin.
Our 500-year-old building has been completely restored and offers a wonderful setting to dine close to nature. The 12-room hotel is an ideal base for excursions in the 3-lakes area, exceptional for its natural and cultural sites. On our grounds we cultivate biological products and work to improve our agricultural biodiversity. Scottish highland cattle are bred on our lands for the upkeep of the marshlands. The ASPO Nature Centre in the Sauge, between Ins and Cudrefin, is next to Switzerland’s 2 most important bird sanctuaries: the Chablais de Cudrefin and Fanel, in the Grand Cariçaie, on Lake Neuchâtel’s south-eastern shores.
The Nature Centre has a permanent exhibition on the Grand Cariçaie, temporary exhibitions, an ecology laboratory, multimedia shows and an outdoor trail (500 metres) with 3 hides for unobtrusive wildlife observation.
