Malaga
Malaga is a city and a municipality, capital of the province of Malaga, in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain.
Malaga is a fantastic city to stroll through, with a skyline reflecting the eclectic character of the city, towering church towers with reddish roofs and grand apartment buildings, while, like a great old lady, the 11th century Gibralfaro castle grandiosely provides the best view of all.
Málaga has a natural heritage of great environmental wealth. The natural setting of the Guadalhorce estuary, located within an island of 122 hectares demarcated by the arms of the river in its final range, is a stopping point for hundreds of migratory species and is known for its great ecological value. The Natural Park of Montes de Málaga occupies an area of 4,996 hectares that house more than 230 species of plants and more than 160 types of vertebrates.

Gastronomy
The typical cuisine of Malaga is like in all of Andalusia, light, healthy and always prepared with fresh ingredients from the Mediterranean. The use of olive oil for cooking in Andalusia has proven to decrease the possibility of heart disease, improve blood circulation and digestion and the oil is also rich in vitamins (A, D, E, K).
Being a coastal province has made a great influence on the cuisine of Malaga which includes a wide variety of seafood. Some of the most typical dishes are prawns in all their form, roasted or cooked fried fish, Chanquetes (a small fish of the anchovy family) and anchovies in vinegar (also a small fish that has been marinated in vinegar by one day).
In addition to seafood Malaga and the rest of Andalusia are probably best known for the cold vegetable soup Gaspacho. Gaspacho is a very refreshing dish served mainly during the summer and is made by fresh mixed vegetables.
It is also possible to find meat dishes of good quality in Malaga. Especially the many varieties of chicken as well as the Rabo de Toro (Oxtail) can also be recommended.

Weather
Sea breezes off the Mediterranean coastline regulate the summer heat to a more comfortable level than the Andalusian countryside towns as the Malaga Mountains form the perfect barrier to protect the city from the colder weather in the winter.
The weather can be very hot in July and August and can be colder (minimum of about 13 ° C) between December and February.
Some rains, much needed, happen in the colder months, but usually do not last for long.
