Santos
Santos is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil, founded in 1546 by the Portuguese nobleman Brás Cubas, located partially on the island of São Vicente, which houses the city of Santos and the city of São Vicente.
The city also houses the Coffee Museum, where, once, coffee prices were negotiated. There is also a football memorial, dedicated to the city's biggest players, which includes Pelé, who played for Santos Soccer Club. Its seafront garden, 5335 m (5,834 m) long, figures in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest seafront garden in the world.
The coastline along the city of Santos is known for offering a strange view. As if they were dominoes to knock over, the waterfront is lined with a series of tall apartment buildings that are unmistakably sloped to one side.

Tourism
Santos is not just a city of commerce, Santos has much to offer tourists like:
The beaches, (7 km of santistas beaches whose names vary according to the neighborhoods, separated by characteristic channels that cut across the city: José Menino, Pompeia, Gonzaga, Boqueirão, Embaré, Aparecida and Ponta da Praia. its hills and islands and ships awaiting entry to the port complement the landscape.), the historic center, the Museum and the Official Coffee Bag of Santos, the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church and the Chapel of the 3rd Order of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the House of tiled frontage, the Guarany Theater, among other places, historical and cultural buildings.
Monte Serrat is the postcard of Santos, one of the highest points in the city, with 147 meters above sea level, which provides one of the most beautiful views of the city and many other attractions.
Unfortunately the sea is not very clean here as in any large city, situated on the coast. But still many people go swimming, surfing or diving or take a boat trip.

Gastronomy
As usual in a port city, seafood is among the main gastronomic highlights.
In a survey among tourists and residents of Santos to determine what the local "tourist dish" would be, the choice fell on the "Meca Santista": a grilled meca topped with prawns, pupunha palm risotto and banana farofa with bacon.
Mecca is among the most sought-after fish by tourists and the other ingredients are typical of the region.
But the gastronomic options do not stop in the fish and shellfish, being able to be savored a good barbecue in the form of carvery, dry meat, sarapatel, baião-de-dos and "escondidinho".
Pizzerias and fast food as in every city in the world are other options.

Weather
Santos has a humid coastal tropical climate. The summers are hot and humid (with average rainfall above 270 mm in January), while winters have milder temperatures and lower rainfall (average rainfall around 70 mm in August). Spring and autumn are characterized as transition seasons. The average annual rainfall is 3,207 mm.
Despite these definitions, certain temperature variations can be felt even in the hottest or coldest seasons of the year.
It is quite common, especially in the summer, for temperatures to rise above 35 ° C during the afternoon, especially in the more urbanized areas and away from the sea (as in the Center), when temperatures from 40 ° C can penetrate winds from the northwest. In winter, the penetration of polar air masses from the south causes the thermometers to drop below 10 ° C.
