There is a covered market from Monday to Saturday. but the large. typical and popular weekly market is the Monday market. With regard to activities. you will be spoilt for choice close by. between 5 min. and 45 min. there are: walks. the mountains. ski runs. the Medieval villages of Sortelha or Castelo Novo. golf. river beaches and an adventure park. The park offers a very great number of activities. paragliding. canoeing. walks. horse riding. climbing. shooting. etc. The sea is 1.30 to 2.00 hours away by road. Lisbon is a little more than 2.00 hours away by road. Valladolid airport is 2.30/3.00 hours away in Spain. In the town. you will find several shopping centres. bars. a discotheque. restaurants. a cinema. museum and all sorts of shops. including several craft boutiques.
